In High Asset, High Income Divorce Cases, Legal Experience Can Make A Significant Difference
These are troubled times. The market has reduced the value of our investments.
Our businesses face unknown challenges. Income we historically earned may diminish significantly. To make matters worse, economic turbulence frequently leads to domestic discontent.
No one looks forward to a divorce but everyone should be prepared for one. Under Florida law, assets are not always divided equally between Husband and Wife. Our law firm is dedicated to the preservation of our clients’ assets and income through out the divorce process.
Catherine W. Real, P.A. an Experienced Tampa Area based Florida Family Law Firm
Our firm, created in 1981, focuses "exclusively" on the provision of family law services in the State of Florida.
Our attorneys practice statewide. While the majority of our clients reside in Central Florida, i.e., Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota Florida, the Firm has practiced as far south as Key West and as far north as Pensacola, Florida.
The firm not only represents clients who reside in Florida but also clients who are residing in many other foreign jurisdictions. The firm has represented clients who have Florida family law problems who reside in Europe, Japan, China, and South America
Our Firm Addresses All Family Law Issues Which Can Emerge in A Divorce Setting
Some family law firms only accept cases where a limited number of family law issues are involved. In contrast, Catherine W. Real, P.A. accepts cases which address all of the family law issues our clients may confront when pursuing a divorce including but not limited to: the division of martial property, spousal and child support, child custody and visitation.
Family law matters, which our Firm addresses, include dissolutions of marriage (divorce), post judgment modification of divorce decrees (modification actions), paternity actions, the preparation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and actions to require one of the parties to a divorce to comply with the terms of the Final Judgment (enforcement actions).
Our Firm's Philosophy
As a Supreme Court Certified mediator, Catherine W. Real seeks first to settle your case through mediation. If mediation cannot resolve the issues, only then are the trial skills of the attorneys in the firm brought into play.

WELCOME
We offer a full service team to assist you.
Having practiced family law for over 25 years, Catherine W. Real not only provides the legal advice and counsel expected of an experienced divorce lawyer, she also collaborates, on behalf of her clients, with other professionals when needed such as financial advisors, CPAs, mental health counselors, and physicians to ensure her clients are provided with all of the services needed to survive their challenging times.
We look out for your long term interests by laying a foundation for the future.
We know the issues that need to be addressed during the divorce. If not addressed during the mediation or litigation, critical issues that affect you, your loved ones, or your lifestyle may be too late or too expensive to remedy!
During the divorce process, we assist every client in laying a "foundation for the future" by formulating three plans:
- a plan for what to do during the divorce itself
- a plan for what the client hopes to achieve one year after the divorce is final; and
- a plan that projects the client's goals five years after the divorce is final.
With these plans in mind, the divorce itself can lay a solid foundation for the client's future.
