Courtwatch's goal is to provide opportunities for the average citizen to observe how domestic violence related criminal and civil cases are handled in the courtrooms and to provide feedback regarding these observations to the courts, prosecutors, the attorneys who defend those accused of committing acts of domestic violence and the public at large. Courtwatch's objective is to sensitize the public regarding the consequences of violence in the home, especially as they relate to children.
